About Me

I am a cis-gendered male from European ancestry. I was drawn to train in psychotherapy later in life.  Following several years of teaching Sociology at Ryerson (now TMU) and a long stint of at-home parenting (I am the parent of 3 children), I found myself in the midst of a mid-life career shift. The pull towards psychotherapy was strong as it reflected many of my core personal beliefs of empathy, non-judgement, relationship and connection. I trained for several years at T.I.R.P (Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy) and have been a practicing psychotherapist in Toronto since 2012. I returned to TIRP in 2019 as an instructor and now offer Relational Clinical Supervision as well as continuing my psychotherapy practice.
